Dr Liu was invited to speak at the Farrer Park Hospital Annual Scientific Meeting on 24 May 2025.
Her talk was entitled Immunotherapeutics in the Management of Chronic Sinusitis with Nasal polyps.
In it, she shared with fellow healthcare professionals about how Chronic sinusitis and Nasal polyps causes nasal obstruction, affects smell and taste and headaches.
Early treatment with endoscopic sinus surgery and good postop care improve outcomes in patients.
In select cases of recalcitrant chronic sinusitis with nasal polyps, Immunotherapeutics are useful.
Dr Liu then proceeded to share the evidence -based research of each drug’s efficacy, its side effects and duration of treatment. It was rewarding to be able to share the latest advances in Chronic sinusitis and Nasal polyp management with the participants.
